About Mico Systems

Mico Systems was founded in Oakville, Ontario in 1995 by Mike Turczyniak, Microsoft Certified Professional.  Originally the company focused on providing computer and network hardware and maintenance solutions to small and medium sized public accounting firms.

Since then we’ve grown to a team of eight.   All of our technical team members are Microsoft Certified Professionals.

We service approximately 50 clients in the GTA, about half of which are public accounting firms.  The other half are mostly a mixture of legal, marketing, and other service industries. 

As a small business ourselves, we understand our small business clients’ computer and network requirements.  We use the same technology that our clients use.  We test it in our environment before we recommend and install it at a client’s site. 

We are just as dependent on technology as our clients and we know how painful downtime can be.  For this reason we have an unsurpassed response time guarantee for our Optimum clients:  we will have someone working on urgent problems (server or network down), on-site or remotely, within 4 hours and non-urgent problems within 24 hours. 

Small and medium sized businesses succeed because they know what their core competencies are and they focus on exactly that.  As an example, it doesn’t make sense for an accounting firm to have a highly valued accountant managing their computer network and acting as an I.T. Manager.  Accountants should be servicing their clients – doing what they do best and doing what they are trained to do, just as it doesn’t make sense for one of our I.T. Professionals to be providing us with accountant advice and acting as an accountant.
